The third commissioned book cover artwork and cover design for the Dragons Within anthology from speculative fiction publisher, Balance of Seven, completed in October of 2021.
SHINY BITS IN BETWEEN
This book cover artwork was created for Shiny Bits in Between, a novel by Georgina Key, a story of human resilience taking place in the Texas Gulf coast.. The illustration combines key elements from the story to create a semi-surrealistic impression of the view of the Bolivar lighthouse at night.
ENCHANTED SACRED GARDEN: DRAGON
Dragon is the first installment of the Enchanted Sacred Garden series by Angie Rooker. The illustration and cover design incorporate fantasy elements from a story about a young dragon attending a school of magic in a mysterious new world. More info at https://www.balanceofseven.com/
DRAGONS WITHIN: GUARDING HER OWN
This cover design for the second installment of the Dragons Within anthology, Guarding Her Own, depicts a variety of elements from the short stories included in the anthology, including vast battles, a towering citadel, a female warrior with a flaming sword, and, of course, a fierce red dragon, which plays on themes from the preceding cover design for Dragons Within: Claiming Her Wings (below).
DRAGONS WITHIN: CLAIMING HER WINGS
One of the first cover art and illustrations created for speculative fiction publisher Balance of Seven, LLC., this design depicts a woman trapped in a more mundane human world, viewing an alternate reality through the portal of the mirror. As with the second cover design, this one incorporates subtle allusions to the short stories included in the anthology, including the figurines on the shelf, the castle in the distance, and the woman’s clothing.
ALBUM COVER ARTWORK
This collection of cover designs was created for Audio Imperia for their AI Ghostwriter project, which incorporates samples of orchestrated music for film trailers, games, and more. Each illustration and title was specifically catered towards the subject of the music samples, while still remaining consistent in their sketchy, yet detailed construction, greyscale palette, and faded paper texture that formed the hallmark theme of previously created artworks.
